Beijing, Lhasa Overland Tour – 19 Days

Your tour commences in Beijing, a city in Northern China. Beijing, an ancient capital and a bustling modern metropolis is a city of amazing contrasts. In Beijing some incredible historical sites awaits you. On a guided tour, you explore the Forbidden City, the Tiananmen Square, the Great Wall of China and the Temple of Heaven.

Leaving Beijing you embark on a train journey to Lhasa, aboard the world’s highest railway, the Qinghai-Tibet railway. As the train trundles along the high Tibetan plateau, picturesque scenes of Tibetan countryside whiz by. Owing to Tibet’s high altitude the train has been equipped with oxygen-supplying equipments. Oxygen masks are available for those who are prone to altitude sickness.

In the old city of Lhasa, you will be taken on a guided tour to all the city’s major attractions: Potala Palace, Sera Monastery, Norbulingka etc. Excursions to important Tibetan cities of Shigatse, Gyantse and Shegar are also included in your itinerary. Rough Riding Below Mount Kanchenjunga – 11 days

Cycling southeast from Taplejung on a combination of dirt and paved roads, down to the Indian border town of Charali, our route climbs, descends, twists and turns its way through a part of Nepal seen by very few tourists, and even fewer have seen it the way we are doing it.
After flying from Kathmandu to Taplejung via Biratnagar, the first four days are spent making our way south through picturesque villages and golden fields of rice and wheat to our highest camp on the Pauwa Pass, from where there are spectacular views stretching from Kanchenjunga to Mt Everest. From the pass, it’s a two-day ride through the tea plantations of Ilam [Nepal’s tea growing capital] to the warm plains of the Terai. We spend a day in Ilam to relax or to go exploring in the tea garden on and off the bike. The Terai with its colourful bazaars, fields of tea, fruits and vegetables and the ever smiling faces of the Nepalese. This area is completely unspoiled, with hardly any Westerners passing through – let alone mountain bikers. In only the first five days we cover around 240 km, with an awesome 5000m of ascent and even more awesome 7800m of descent.

Kathmandu & Pokhara Mountain Bike Tour – 10 Days

Mountain biking tour is one of the exciting adventurous sports, as you will be able to explore the virgin corner of the country from urban areas to the remote parts alongside of crisscross roads. There are ample of tracks out there alongside of terraced fields in the villages and jungle, through the settlement of various ethnic groups and cross the dazzling hills from where you will have amazing views of range of majestic mountains, incredible landscapes, unique lifestyles of various ethnic group whereby you can relish yourself with the local food, local culture, rituals and many more. You will be mesmerized while having mountain biking tour either within Kathmandu valley or any other parts of the country.

A 10 days trip of biking through one of the most scenic country sides of Nepal. Starting from Kathmandu, we enter the historical district of Nuwakot where we visit the ancient palaces and temples and meet the friendly Tamang people who rely mostly on farming. Beautiful river crossings and riding through goat trails with magnificent views of Annapurna mountains range. We then explore the scenic and beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara.

Biking in Kathmandu – 05 Days

For mountain bikers looking for a peaceful ride, the road leading from Bhaktapur to Dhulikhel, a hill resort 32 km east of Kathmandu, is simply terrific. The highway hardly sees any traffic and the view is magnificent. Dhulikhel can also be approached from Banepa, 4 km east of Dhulikhel, and Nala, 4 km northwest of Banepa. Further hiking to Panauti, three hours south of Dhulikhel, is possible. A day’s walk to Namobuddha is also a lot of fun.

Biking Around Kathmandu Valley – 8 days

This is a 5-day biking trip on the ridge-top trails which encircle the Valley’s rim. We travel along little-used dirt roads away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Only a short bike ride away lies a delightful world of wooded slopes, small villages, hidden temples and the views which include all of the principal peaks of the Nepal Himalaya – from Makalu to the Annapurna providing some excellent, easy to semi – technical single track riding along old jeep roads. During these five days we will experience all of the sights, sounds, tastes and smells that make up life in Nepal’s ‘Middle Hills’. We will visit the historic cities of Patan and Bhaktpur, hill resort of Nagarkot with its sunrise view of the entire Nepal Himalaya and the temples, monasteries and picturesque villages tucked away in the forests along the way. We are so close to the bustle of Kathmandu, but so far off the beaten tourist trail.

With the mornings spent cycling above a sea of clouds, it would not be an exaggeration to call this a heaven for mountain bikers! Throughout the trip, support vehicles carrying all our gear will either follow behind us or be with us at the end of the day. Whether you ride for fun, or take it more seriously, challenges lie around every corner.
